To say tonight's events have been...productive, would be a disservice to the efforts put in here tonight.
The remaining...remains of our beloved friends lie in a heap at the Judge's feet.
The Judge themself appears to be heavily wounded, and is holding a bloody meat hook, with the Hoarder's body included in the pile of aforementioned corpses.
But just who are in this hapless hopeless horde of humans?
Perv Asshat - Bludgeoned to death.
Tetsuo Tsutsumi - Died of a mixture of blood loss and overdose.
Fu Xuan - Shot through the head.
and last but not least...
Saya Kisaragi - Who's remains are more of a crumpled heap of flesh and bones than anything recognizable as human.
Our sole participants, our sole survivors are in fact:
Natsuki - Still holding that gun.
Yuri - Who is missing an arm.
Sayori - Who definitely hasn't been crying.
MC - Holding the Judge's Gavel.
and The Survivor, who I suppose is an honorary member of the club now.
This was not an outcome I had foreseen, but ultimately, it was the most likely outcome.
The Judge climbs back up onto their bench, feeling around for their gavel, quickly giving up after spotting it in the hands of MC. They attempt to stand tall, holding a hand to their side, where blood oozes down onto the floor.
"I am...impressed. I did not know you had it in you. Yet...you've done it. You've removed every last obstacle in your path, prevented me from passing judgement, and attempted to usurp me as His chosen prophet."
They glare at Sayori and once again reach for their gavel, which is still not there.
"I will give you a choice. A rather simple one at that. Give me the gavel, and I will let you five leave. You have given Him enough hatred, enough bloodshed to keep Him awake for another hundred years. You will never see me or Him again, and the time spent here will seem like a distant memory, or a hazy forgotten dream.
You get the feeling the Judge isn't being entirely truthful here, but isn't in a place to argue. You five are holding almost all of the cards.
If you refuse to return the gavel...
The Judge's voice falters as the Cat jumps on top of the bench. It looks at The Judge, who begins speaking in a tone not unlike the words invading your dreams at nights, guiding and shaping your thoughts.
"This one's doddering mind is weak. The old guard shall fall tonight. Take the Judge's place, and I shall give you five everlasting power. You will want for nothing, fear nothing, and serve as equals under My watchful gaze.
I shall even give you what was once thought lost, the soul of...Monika was it? She shall return to you and join you in your triumph, but if and only if you agree to obey."
The Cat blinks, and the Judge shudders, clutching onto the bench for dear life.
"Just...leave. Return the gavel, and I swear on my life you shall be safe. This is just...a test, isn't it? He wants to shake my faith, to make me come back stronger, more willing to serve. Hah...it's almost poetic isn't it? Starting from One, and ending with One. Ultimately, this is what's best for us all, isn't it?
The Judge goes on, rambling under their breath, clearly not of sound mind. This gives you five time to discuss a plan.
Will you take the Judge's option, and leave Alderman Fields? You won't have your Power Words anymore, and the cycle will continue, with new victims and new horrors once more.
(Living must discover a way out of town, a way to break through the Fog without the Cat's influence. Dead can either assist or hinder in their escape.)
Will you take the Cat's option, and take the Judge's place? You would be able to revive Monika, mitigate the damage the cycles cause, maybe even find a way to end it, but at the cost of your humanity.
(Dead and Living will be forced to solve the First Trial, and will gain a level of control over Him depending on how well you do. You'll never be able to truly stop Him this way, but this guarantees your safety.)
Or...will you defy them both? Find a way to stop His ambitions once and for all. His power is all-encompassing, but He follows the same rules you do.
(A final gambit. The riskiest option. Both Dead and Living will be tasked with answered the final questions of what He is, what He wants, and how He can be stopped.)
But if you pick this path...failure will come with the heftiest of consequences.
What will it be?
You have some time to decide, but your choice will determine the outcome of everything.
